Sweet Mother of Mercy… *drools* Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer is sooooo goooooooood.

I didn’t appreciate the Soldier class at first, since they were all guns and no substance. Then I earned some points, bought some Recruit and Veteran packs, and got a bunch of free training XP boosts for the my lone Male Human Soldier. SWEET TINY JEEBUS…

Okay so in the Multiplayer Maps some of the baddest boss types you run across are Phantom (bendy, armored, invisible ninja babes) and Atlases (giant mechs who group sodomizes your team with missles).

So in a Bronze Level map you start seeing Atlases around Wave 6, and basically everyone can have somewhere between 0 to 2 missles in their missle launcher. More often than not your team will have maybe 1-2 missles total. Thats when a Soldier has its time to shine.

Suddenly you’re the guy with 4 or 5 Grenades AND ALL THE BULLETS, who can pretty much solo an Atlas if everyone else is covering your ass and taking out the rest of the troops whom support the Atlas(es). Suddenly it goes from “WHO HAS MISSLES?!?! OH GOD! OH GOD! ATLAS! EVERWHERE!” to “KEEP THAT GRENADE FLINGING BASTARD ALIVE!”

So yeah, respect the Soldier, for the first four waves they may overkill and throw 2 grenades at a mostly dead trooper but by Wave 5 they will be chucking those same grenades at the biggest deadliest thing in the field.

I put my points into Concussive blast, so that it now can pierce shields, barriers, and armor. I still don’t do great against the Atlas, but I can dent it solo, and keep the weird bendy ninjas mostly at bay with the superfast recharge speed. Also, I just got the Tempest SMG in my last pack, so it’s all just dakka dakka dakka dakka, switch weapons, dakka dakka dakka

My Extended barrel scoped Phalanx Pistol + my Asari Adept’s Warp helps me solo Atlases when necessary. But ever since I picked up my Kassa Locust, scoped it, and then slapped an extended clip in it, I just shoot everything in the facial region and rack up head shots like no tomorrow.
